I know this question hurts. When you see pain, injustice, or cruelty, it’s normal to feel confused, angry, or even distant from God. You’re not wrong to ask—this is one of the most honest, heartfelt questions anyone can have. And the good news? The Bible doesn’t shy away from it. It gives us real, hopeful answers we can trust.
First: God Didn’t Create Evil—He Created Choice
God is 100% good, all-powerful, and full of love (1 John 1:5: “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all”). When He made the world, He said it was “very good” (Genesis 1:31). No pain, no fear, no evil—just perfect peace with Him.

- Talk to God honestly: You don’t have to use fancy words. Say, “God, this hurts. I’m confused. Help me trust You.” He hears every word (Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”).
- Choose good, even when it’s hard: When you see evil, don’t fight it with more evil. Fight it with kindness, forgiveness, and love (Romans 12:21: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”).
